President - Executive
Joining the 2017 Management Committee with roles as Registrar, Treasurer & Secretary over 4 years, before moving to President in 2020, Paul has also been a Coach in the youth Girls & Colts space, with multiple Premierships as a level 2 Coach. Implementing the Southport Sharks Academy in 2018, he has also received the AFLQ 'Club Volunteer of the year' award in 2018 and Sharks Juniors 'Club person of the year' in 2017, 2018 & 2020.
Vice President Youth - Executive
Corey joined the Management Committee in 2019. His passion to help around the club opening & closing game days, picking up supplies for the canteen, setting up sausage sizzles and Bunnings fundraisers earn't Corey the "Volunteer of the Year" award in 2019.
In 2020 Corey moved to the role of Youth Vice President working with age groups from U12 to U17.
Corey will also also work with the President as dual Coaching Coordinators and will take over the reins of the Southport Sharks Academy from 2021 with support from the sub committee.
Vice President Juniors - Executive
Peter joined the Management Committee in 2019 and soon found himself in the role of Junior Vice President. Peter is a passionate family man who enjoys sports all year long.
Overseeing all of the Junior space U6 to U11, Peter is active in event creation and making sure all players, parents and coaches have a fun environment. A level 1 Community Coach, Peter is actively involved in many age groups across the club.
Secretary - Executive
Nicole first joined the Committee in 2017, and then again in 2020. Nicole is a former Netball association President, Club President and Netball Association Coaching Coordinator with 25 years experience in sport.
Nicole was also the first female Level 1 Coach at Southport with the Girls U15's in 2020, while both her kids play across the junior & Senior club.
Treasurer - Executive
Kathy joined the Management Committee during the 2019 season helping with administration and canteen duties. In 2020 her role was Treasurer & Registrar, and in 2021 will once again look after the clubs finances.
Kathy brings a mountain of experience from her Netball background in similar roles.
Registrar - Executive
Shelley first joined the Committee in the 2019 season. She has helped in administration, the canteen and as several Team Managers.
Shelley will take over the Registrar position from 2021 and will continue to work on several of the club's sub committees including merchandise.
Corolyne joined the Management Committee in 2020 and brings Executive business experience to the Management Committee. A Director at Kool Kids Training College by day, and mum to 2 daughters and son Koby, Carolyne has been volunteering at the club for many years as Team Manager and helper in the Canteen. Carolyne will also coordinate with our Merchandise, canteen & sponsorship sub committees.
Derek joined the Committee in 2020 and has been at the club now for several years. Derek has been working with Coaches as Team Manager, currently with the U11's and has volunteered around the club throughout his time with the Juniors. Derek will also be helping with Merchandise & Events and will take on the new role of Team Manager Coordinator across all age groups.
Matt also joined the Management Committee in 2020 and has been with the club as a level 1 Coach for several years now. Matt can be found with the mighty U9's and is sure to help the junior development through the age groups.
Life Member - Umpire Coordinator
Glenn has given his heart and soul to the club over the years and is a treasured life member of the club.
Glenn can be found developing our Footy4Fun Umpires every Saturday morning and at various umpire coaching sessions throughout the year. Glenn still actively attends Club Management Committee meetings and is always available for working bees and anything he can do to help around the club.
