Club Statement From the Management Committee Southport Sharks Junior AFL
In response to the measures in place for many sports across Australia regarding the Coronavirus, (Covid19) The Southport Sharks Junior AFL Club effective immediately will be shutting down all training and competition games Indefinitely.
There will be NO Training sessions on or off site. There will be no fixture Games scheduled for this weekend We are in unprecedented times and the wellbeing of our Juniors, parents, families, supporters, Coaches and volunteer staff are placed under the Club's Duty of Care. The Club asks that our members support the Club through this period and that when further information is available, we will communicate the outcomes on how we get back to playing footy in 2020. We are waiting on further correspondence from AFLQ, the AFL, and Government / Medical channels Thank you in advance for understanding these measures we have taken for the safety of everyone.
